Flight Risk ( 2025 ) Movie is an out-and-out Michelle Dockery vehicle with Topher and Wahlberg in tow. Considering I am a huge Dockery fan, I cannot promise even a remotely unbiased review of this minimalist action-packed movie! Her performance in Godless is beyond good, and is yet another portrayal of a strong woman weathering hard times.

The Plot of Flight Risk ( 2025 ) Movie
US Marshall Madolyn Harris has to escort State Witness Winston after finding him in Alaska all the way back to the US in a rickety plane, accompanied by a shady pilot who enjoys the rough ride back to the U.S.
On the way back, things get out of control, with the pilot turning against the other two and trying to sow and almost succeeding in planting mistrust between them. The actors, mainly Dockery, do a lot with the limited script and screenplay, and surprisingly, Mark Wahlberg does not add much to the dynamic and almost ends up being two-dimensional in the whole thing.
I will not divulge any more details of the plot as the twists in this movie are pretty limited, so you will have to watch it to know what they are, making the movie itself worth watching.
Cinematography and Action
The cinematography does a lot for the movie, making it even worth watching in the theater, although I watched it as soon as it was released on Prime Video.
Much of the movie was filmed in Alaska and Mesquite, Nevada, although most probably the scenes inside the plane were filmed either using a green screen or with a realistic LED screen that studios use so often these with lighting that doesn't need to be changed drastically in post-production.

Cast of Flight Risk ( 2025 ) Movie
This movie relies heavily on its cast performances to do the heavy lifting since there isn't much substance in the plot ( hopefully by design ), so it falls on Dockery to carry the rest of the cast in this potentially awesome movie that ended up just being slightly above average.
Topher Grace does not seem to be doing any significant roles in the past few years, and even when he tries, all the roles he lands are the ones in which he is a villain, such as an unimpressive version of Venom in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3. At least in Predators ( 2010 ), he played Edwin, the psychopathic doctor, which was a pretty good watch.

Dockery proves her action chops once more in this movie with an amazing upside-down shot using a flare gun to stop Mark Wahlberg. Her US accent is also pretty good, with it giving out only in a few places, but delivering what I think is a New York City accent.
Maaz Ali plays Hasan, the flight operator who guides Dockery safely to an airstrip in Nevada while successfully hitting on and securing a date as well! You also hear the voice of Leah Remini as Caroline Van Sant, who is her colleague in the US Marshal's office. You never see Remini, although you see Maaz once Dockery lands the plane.
Should You Watch it? Yes!
As I mentioned in the beginning, this movie is worth watching, probably only because of Michelle Dockery's performance, her world-class action, and her good-enough US accent. Mark and Topher seem to be just cast members who seem to be part of the film without adding much in terms of performance or chemistry.
